The World Gem Society has been formed out of a long established group who called ourselves the ISG Community. This was and is a community of grass roots consumers, gemologists, dealers, appraisers and others who joined together through the International School of Gemology programs of gemology study. As we have grown to a world wide reach over the years we have had numerous requests to formally establish a world wide society, based on the foundations of our ISG codes of ethics and fair dealing, for the purpose of allowing more people world wide to become a part of this effort. The result is what you see here, the World Gem Society. A grass roots organization of plain folks from all walks of life and all segments of the industry....and from all around the world.

We are no longer just an ISG organization, we are a now a world wide group from many organizations and schools. We are wire wrappers and bead designers. Jewelry designers and metalsmiths. Mine operators and cutters. Lapidaries and faceters. Gemologists and dealers. And most important....we are consumers. We put consumers first and foremost because we believe you should be able to buy gemstones with good faith and trust in the people you work with. That is why we are here...because we put you, the consumer, first. Whether we are doing this for a hobby or a professional career, we put ethics and honest dealing above all else. We are, the World Gem Society.
